About the ISOCARP Scholarship Through this program, scholars will gain exposure to innovative practices, connect with peers from around the world, and contribute to discussions on how planning can respond to global challenges such as urbanization, climate change, technology, and social equity. Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Applicants must be:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in urban planning, architecture, geography, or a related discipline, or be an early-career planning professional (under 35 years old)
- Able to demonstrate academic excellence or professional achievement
- Committed to advancing sustainable, inclusive, and resilient urban development
- Proficient in English (the working language of the Congress)
- Available to attend the full Congress (1–4 December 2025)
Selection will be based on:
- Merit and Motivation: Academic record, professional accomplishments, and a clear statement of motivation for attending the Congress
- Relevance: Alignment between the applicant's interests and the Congress theme "Cities and Regions in Action"
- Contribution: Potential to contribute to and benefit from international planning dialogues
- Diversity: Geographic, institutional, and gender diversity will be considered to ensure global representation. Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
