At-Turaif

At-Turaif is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Diriyah, just outside Riyadh. It was the first capital of the Saudi state in the 18th century and is famous for its distinctive Najdi mud-brick architecture. The district includes palaces, mosques, and defensive structures that once housed the rulers of the Al Saud family. Today, At-Turaif has been carefully restored and transformed into an open-air museum, giving visitors a chance to walk through the origins of the Saudi kingdom and learn about its political, cultural, and architectural heritage.
