We live in the "century of the city". This trend towards the increasing importance of cities, entails great challenges but also bright prospects for urban living. Isabel is a Chartered Urban Planner with a decade of international experience in planning and urban design, and a strong focus on the MENA Region. Her portfolio spans a diverse range of complex and large-scale projects, including strategic and structural plans, masterplans development and reviews, planning and design guidelines, in addition to smart city strategies. Isabel is an advocate of creating a better future by approaching every project with an innovative and multi-disciplinary perspective. She is also passionate about bridging research and practice to bring new insights into projects and better meet the needs of communities and cities. Isabel has also actively contributed to thought leadership in areas including post-disaster recovery, city perception and memory, smart cities, and urban regeneration. Currently based in Riyadh, she assumes a senior role at Buro Happold leading a variety of urban projects for key clients across the Kingdom and the wider region.

M. Febry Kurniawan is a young urban and regional planner currently serving at the Ministry of National Development Planning of Indonesia (Bappenas) and is a member of the Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners (IAP). With a strong academic background and field experience in urban economy, spatial analysis, and public policy, he focuses on aligning global innovation trends with local and national planning priorities. Febry is particularly interested in how digital transformation, economic shifts, and artificial intelligence are reshaping urban systems-and how public institutions and policies in developing countries can adapt to these challenges. As part of his early-career international contribution, he has been selected as a Co-Rapporteur for Track 2: Urban Economy and the Digital Age: 24-hour City and AI at the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress. He is committed to bridging global knowledge with adaptive, forward-looking urban policy, ensuring that emerging economies like Indonesia play an active role in shaping the future of cities in the digital era.

Mounir Kabbara is a Director within PwC's Government & Public Sector team focused on Cities and Local Governments: Strategy & Operations. He has over 13 years of experience supporting regional and local government clients in the Middle East with strategic planning & implementation, transformation, governance and operating model design across several domains including Smart/Cognitive Cities, Urban Planning, Municipal Services among others. Prior to PwC, Mounir worked with real estate developers in UAE and KSA including Emaar, the Economic City and Diamond Developers.
